Connie Sue Wills, 50, of Beckley passed away on December 8, 2010. Born January 11, 1960, she was the daughter of Norma Taylor Halstead and the late Wallace Wayne Halstead. Connie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her favorite hobby was taking photos of her family and creating scrapbooks out of the memories. She was a wonderful mother, wife and friend. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1978, received a Bachelor’s Degree in education from Concord College in 1992 and earned a Master’s Degree from Marshall University. Connie was an educator; she worked for the Raleigh County Board of Education and spent the last six years of her career at Woodrow Wilson High School. She was a faithful Christian and attended the Jones Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband Rick Wills of Beckley; son Kenny Cooper and fiancée Amanda Liller; daughters Amanda Wills and Andrea Wills; brothers John Halstead and wife Judy, Ronnie Halstead and wife Kristi; nieces Johna Halstead, Courtney Ingle, Riley Halstead and Piper Halstead; nephews Mackenzie Halstead and John Clarence Halstead. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 12, 2010, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with Pastor Rick Metrick officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
