Dorothy Zachary (Vargo)

KISSIMMEE -- Dorothy  Zachary Vargo's life was a lot like a sappy love song. She met her future husband when they were in junior high school, and there was no looking back for either of them.   "She used to say she noticed me as soon as she saw me," William Vargo said of his wife. "As soon as I saw her," it was a done deal.

Dorothy Vargo died Thursday, March 6th. She was 51.

William Vargo and his wife of 33 years moved to Kissimmee from Ohio in the early 1990s to get away from the cold. And though it was primarily the weather that attracted the couple, Dorothy Vargo enjoyed her time with her family in Central Florida, William Vargo said.

A dedicated homemaker for much of her life, Dorothy Vargo had a passion for computer design.  She had a knack for it, her husband said, and became "kind of a home artist."   He said the couple just enjoyed each other's company.   "She was my whole life," he said. "What we mostly did was just be together. We just had each other."

Dorothy Vargo also is survived by three sons, Micah of Pompano Beach, Jason of Delray Beach and Benjamin of Kissimmee.
