It is always hard to understand such tragic and senseless violence. However, it is even more difficult when the life taken is that of a talented and productive member of society. This is the case with Aubrey Lopez and I, like the rest of his family, friends, acquaintances and E. P. Yorke Family, feel a tremendous sense of lost and grief over what has happened.

Having never taken the time to thank Mr. Lopez personally for his contributions to my children's education and development in high school, I would like to state publicly that I am grateful to him for having shared his time, talents and efforts with them. They are better people for having spent time at E. P. Yorke.

We shall surely feel this lost for a long time to come. Aubrey Lopez made good use of the years he spent with us.

Still cant believe that you're not here. I will never forget my year in 1L. It was fun having you as a home room teacher! As i rode pass e.p.y that afternoon you blew your horn at me and jokingly told me that you were going to knock me down. I looked at you and said go ahead and do it because i know you have insurance. We both laughed not knowing that would be the last time we would see each other. That same night god called you home. When i heard the news of your death i was in disbelief and i still am. Even though your body is lifeless your spirit lives on. I am happy i got to see you on your last day on earth before you went to join the creator. I will always remember the expression on your face that day, you had d biggest smile, a smile i will carry with me for the rest of my life. REST IN PEACE AND RISE IN GLORY AUBREY LOPEZ!!!
