CPL Jaymes Dean Marshall, age 22, of 125 Messenger Road, Manhattan, died September 24, 1992 near Alzey, Germany, the result of an accident on the Autobahn.

He was born on November 14, 1969 in Flint, Michigan the son of Donald T. and Roxie D. Bannon Marshall and had been a Manhattan resident for the past month.

CPL Marshall was a soldier with the U.S. military participating in Reforger at the time of his death.

He was married on December 16, 1990 in Hiawatha, Kansas to Lisa J. Monaghan, She survives of the home. Other survivors include a daughter: Lacy Marshall of the home; his mother: Roxie "Diane" Marshall of Rapid City, Michigan; his father and step-mother Donald and Peggy Marshall of Bellaire, MI; One sister: Jodi Openo of Bellaire, MI; Three step sisters: Melissa Small of Bellaire,MI, Jennifer Baynton of Grawn, MI,Nicole Jones of Bellaire,MI; and two step brothers: Mike Jones of Traverse City, MI, and Josh Moggo of Bellaire, MI. Also surviving are his maternal grandmother: Phylis Howard of Rapid City, MI, Step-grandparents: Flo and Tony Goodlesky of Elmire, MI and June Kaikkonen of Bellaire, MI.
