I so much admired his ready smile and good humor.  Very cordial.  Very sympathetic.  Mark Booth

Although we hadn't stayed in touch in years, Mark and I both considered Gordon to be one of our very special friends.  We didn't know about his illness and death and were hoping to see him at the reunion.  Our condolences to his family.  Please know that many people will miss him.  Cleta Smith Booth

Gordon and his family were very special to me.  His dad was my bass fiddle instructor for years when I moved to Houston in 1955.  Though grossly underqualified, I was asked to join the first Houston Youth Symphony Orchestra.  The fact that Mr. Lantz was the conductor may have had something to do with that.  Gordon was an accomplished musician, a fine young man, and a good friend throughout my Pershing Jr. High and Bellaire High School days.  I regret not keeping up with him.  Mike Horridge

Gordon kept me laughing through Mrs. Harberger's Major Works math class. I'd looked forward to seeing at the reunion, hoping he'd kept that wry sense of humor.  He was a good man, gone too soon.
