Sandra was a great friend and so much fun!  She helped organize several of our early reunions.  She is very missed.

I enjoyed reconnecting with Sandra at the last reunion I attended.  I saw her obituary in the Chronicle.  The following is from that obit.  She died on July 22, 2001 after a brief illness.  During the 70's she lived in Kingwood and was a dispatcher and firefighter for the K.V.F.D. She was very active in the Women's Movement and that triggered her passsion for politics. In the 80's she returned to UH completing her BA degree and then received her law degree in 87. She was the Director of Communcations for the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs at the UH Law Center from 1988-1994.  She then joined the Richmond State School as Director of Communithy Relations and Public Information Officer and was also Executive Director of the Volunteer Services Council.  At the time of her death she was survived by her daughter , Pam Perdue of Austin and her son, Jack Perdue of College Station.
