David Earl WOODARD, Jr.

David Earl Woodard, Jr., of Katy, Texas, passed away in Houston on October 26, 2017, at the age of 66.

David is predeceased by his parents David Earl Sr. and Joy Woodard.  He is also predeceased by his grandson, Tyler Matthew Woodard.

David is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Carolyn Williams Woodard.  They were married at Bellaire United Methodist Church.  David is lovingly remembered by his children Matt and Jeremy Woodard of Katy, Texas.  He is also remembered by his sisters, Barbara Harris of Jacksonville, Florida and Lucy Benson of Katy, Texas, and his grandchildren, Ethan, Parker, and Brady Woodard of Katy, Texas.

David was born in Bremerton, Washington on March 23, 1951.  He graduated from Bellaire High School and attended San Jacinto Jr. College and the University of Houston. He worked for Xerox Corporation for 30 years and later became a State Licensed Real Estate Inspector.  David also worked for FEMA.  David was actively involved in Gray #329 Masonic Lodge and helped build the Historical Masonic Library.  He was also involved in the A/V Department of First United Methodis Church Westchase Campus and also served as an Usher.
