Becky & I had become friends during the past 6 years especially after she & John attended our last 2 reunions. She really enjoyed re-connecting with former students and I got to see a side of her that I never knew. She & I shared a special friendship through e-mails and our reunions. We talked about everything from canning vegetables to our grandchildren. She was so full of life and energy and never let cancer make an angry person out of her. She passed away on Christmas Eve which I think was very fitting as it was her favorite time of the year. She fought a very energetic and courageous battle with breast cancer for over 10 yrs. I will miss my special friend.

One of my favorite teachers. One day I needed to go to the bathroom and had to ask permission. In Spanish class, we could only speak Spanish. She acted like she did not

understand me. That was the day I began to speak Spanish. I always admired her strong will and her ability to make even the worst Spanish learning students (ME) feel special about

learning. My prayers go to John. She will be sorely missed.
