Robert Zimmerman

ROBERT "ZMAN" ZIMMERMAN

Robert Vernon Zimmerman, 38, left us suddenly on December 17, 2011. He was born to Nancy and Robert Zimmerman on July 6, 1973, in Bellingham, Washington. He is survived by his wife Robyn (Davis) Zimmerman, daughter Kortney, son Kyler and father Robert Zimmerman. He also left behind, his sister Barbara Street; brother Mark Owens; stepmother Aggie Gall; stepsisters Jeanette, Bobbie, Lisa, Angie, Julie and Dina; special brothers Jeffery, Zack, Joe and Mace; aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mothers, Nancy Zimmerman and Tamarra Zimmerman, Grandparents Flo Zimmerman, Marjorie and Ken Vineyard. Robert went to Bellingham High. When you said 'Zimmerman' everyone knew exactly who you were talking about. He excelled in wrestling and football, winning multiple national titles in wrestling. After graduating high school, he moved over to 'the other side of the hill,' Finley. After various jobs, Robert, the 'Zman' started working at the Hanford site as a D&D worker in 1994. He met his wife Robyn in 2000; they finally got married May 7, 2005. Anyone who knew Robert knew he loved his guns and to spend his spare time hunting and spending time with friends and family. Some of his favorite hunting trips were with his family over at the Peterson's family home in Idaho. They were already planning for the next trip. Unfortunately there is not enough room to express what type of man Robert was in just a few lines. Those of us who were lucky enough to know him will miss him more than some can imagine. You are invited to a memorial service in the memory of Robert at the Finley Grange, 223005 E. Main Street, Kennewick (Finley), Washington 99337, January 7, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, there has been an account set up at US Bank in his wife's name. The account number is 253-555-862-387.
