Edward Lloyd Belway

Edward L. Belway, 71 of Kihei, passed away peacefully at his home under the care of his loving wife and Hospice Maui on December 12, 2015. He was born on March 15, 1944 in Concord, California. A memorial service over ashes will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Ballard Family Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., services at 11:30 a.m. and burial services will follow at the Maui Veteran’s Cemetery at 1 p.m. Edward was a veteran and served as a Military Policeman in the Army during the Vietnam conflict from 1965 to 1967. Upon discharge he worked for Pacific Bell in California for many years. After moving to Maui, 34 years ago, he joined the Kihei-Wailea Rotary Club and participated in many community projects. He also was very active in his condo association. Edward was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Pauline Belway, and his brother, Don Belway. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Belway of Kihei, and two nieces, Lynda Fillyaw and Mary Texley and their families in California.
