Walter Joseph "Joe" Truce, Jr. September 18, 1943 - October 18, 2022
Joe, an attorney, lived and worked in Long Beach, California. His law firm specialized in Workers' Compensation cases.
At Carlmont Joe was probably best known for his work on the Carlmonitor. I have included an excerpt from one of his last columns along with his photo. Though he attended the 2010 reunion at Harry's Hofbrau, he does not appear in any of our photos.

I loved Joe; we all loved Joe. I remember him as always eager for a challenge, hard-working, stubborn, and (I thought) naive (like I knew anything!). Because of this, he got sometimes got teased by the Carlmonitor staffers but Joe was always good-natured, and never let it stand in the way of his dedication to his work. It was great to spend some time with Joe (and so many others!) at our 50th reunion. My best wishes and sympathy go out to his loved ones, friends, and colleagues; I know he will be missed.
