Bill and I became friends in high school, and I liked him very much.  He had a wonderufl father (whom I was honored to meet and talk to frequently).  In my memories, there is also his cute little sister, Sabra.  I was invited into his home frequently, and I always liked his dad!  His dad was one of those parents who treated us high school kids like we were adults, so I loved visiting with his dad.

There was a summer when we were in high school (I remember Bill could drive, so it must have been the summer after Junior year.) when the two of us spent a lot of time together.  I was waiting for a summer job to start, and I think I had a month of free time.  He had a terrific sense of humor, with a sophisticated sarcastic edge to it, and he could make me laugh a lot.  He poked fun at me a lot and I loved his witticisms.    He had a wonderful (I think this is correct.) Chevrolet and loved cars, while I knew nothing about cars and didn't much care about them, and he used to drive me around and try to educate me about cars.

Besides cars, Bill read the business press and we were always jabbering away about making money and trying to get ahead. One of the best thing about him was his ambition, his hopes for the future, and I liked listening to all that stuff because he sounded like he had plans for the future, whereas I lived from month to month.

He was a lovely person and is a big loss.
