Carolyn Nell Veregge
January 19, 1945 - February 13, 2007
Carolyn Nell Veregge of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2007. Nell is survived by her husband, Charles (Chuck) A. Veregge, III, her son and daughter-in-law, Charles A. Veregge, IV and Katy Veregge, and her sister-in-law, Sally Veregge. Nell was born in Temple, Texas and grew up in San Carlos, Calfiornia. She met her husband, Chuck, in Hawaii, where they were married in 1965 and lived for some years before moving to Austin, Texas and subsequently to Little Rock in 1977. Nell was “blessed to be a blessing” to those who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, and sister-in-law, and a dear and caring friend. Nell had a special calling to work with children and was a volunteer Sunday school teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher at Christ Lutheran Church. Many of the children also knew her as the “story lady”, who volunteered to go into classes and read to the children. Nell will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Remembrances in her name may be made to Lutheran High School, 6711 W. Markham Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.
There will be a Celebration of Life through praise and thanksgiving at Christ Lutheran Church, 315 South Hughes, at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 16th. The family will be present at the church for visitation at 10:00 a.m.
Cremation arrangements were with Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501)224-8300 assisting.
