NANCY LORRAINE BLOCK 1945-2007

Nancy died in Oregon on March 24, 2007, at the age of 62.  She is pictured here with her former husband Chris Prael at the 1982 reunion.

Nancy died of natural causes in Tigard, Oregon, Sunday, March 24, 2007.  She was born January 13, 1945, in San Francisco to Isabelle and Morton Block.  In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Gordon and Kevlin, and one sister Alison.  She attended Carlmont High School, Fresno State College & San Jose State College.  She worked for Sun Microsystems for years prior to her retirement.  She was also a fine artist in glass and ceramics and a longtime member of Mensa.  She lived in Menlo Park where she was extremely active for Diabetes and Breast Cancer awareness before retiring to Oregon.  Books were Nancy’s life; she was a voracious reader. She occupied her home in Beaverton and Philomath Oregon with three cats.
