Bob and I were friends during our years at Carlmont.  I don't know how he passed since we lost touch through the years.  We did manage to get hold of eachother by phone from time to time.  Bob was good with cars and he showed me how to hot wire my MG in just seconds.  During one lunch period during our senior year we got into a food fight with the San Carlos guys who ate their lunches above the school on Melondy Drive.  I remember the enemy closing in on me and just then Bob drives up in my MG that he just hot wired.  The top was down so I jumped in and down Melondy Drive we sped away.  Bob saving my butt is something I will always remember.  John Gleason.

Bob & I remained friends until his death; continue to be in touch with his sister.  Our daughters were best friends growing up & lived on the same street in San Carlos.

I was saddened to hear of Bob's passing several years ago in an email from his sister, Andrea, but I have lost her email address.  Bob was one of the funniest people I've ever known.  He was always quick with a joke, a bad pun, or a funny song, but never had an unkind word for anyone.
