Mohammed Hakki Obituary

Mohammed Adel Hakki, 51, loving son, brother and uncle passed away on April 26, 2020 at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center, North Carolina. He was born in Sanford, North Carolina and preceded in death by his father, Moustafa Hakki.
Mohammed graduated from South Point High School in 1986 and was most currently a student at Strayer University to finish his Accounting degree. He was employed as a pharmacy technician at Walgreens.
He is survived by his mother, Madiha Hakki, sister, Hanaa Shoukry and husband, Hossam of Gastonia; sister, Hayam Elgowainy and husband, Ahmed of Gastonia; nieces, Mona Elgowainy-Green and husband, Daniel of Mount Holly; Eman Shoukry-Harris and husband, David of Belmont; Suzanne Shoukry and husband, Ahmed of Kuwait.
A small service was held in his honor on Monday, April 27th, 2020 at the Islamic Society of Gastonia and buried at the Islamic Society of Gastonia Cemetery.
McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia oversaw arrangements.
