Kenneth Fender Obituary

DALLAS - Kenneth Dale Fender, 46, of 3020 Hereford Lane, died June 6, 2014.

He was general manager of J.R. Cole Industries in Charlotte, was a member of Berea Baptist Church where he served as Sunday school teacher and Deacon.

He was a professional fisherman, and a member of FLW-BFL Fisherman League, where he had won several awards.

Survivors include his wife Betty Ann Phillips Fender, his parents, Barbara Hartness Shoaf and Ronald V. Shoaf of Charlotte, two daughters, Haley Fender Propst and husband Corey of Dallas, Kenna Taylor Fender of Gastonia, two stepsons, Chad Thomas Coffey of Lake Wylie, S.C., Justin Allen Coffey and wife Beth of Denver, N.C., a granddaughter, Paisley Faye Propst, a brother, David Fender and wife Donna of Mount Holly, a special sister-in-law, Cindy Featherstone, special friends, Brent and Teresa Starling, and his fishing buddy Steve Shaw.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr Fender will be held 7 p.m. Sunday at Berea Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Ivey officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Church.
