On August 6, 2006, Bonnie passed away at the age of 53, after suffering a stroke.

Bonnie loved to play sports. It about broke her heart when she dislocated her shoulder when sliding into 3rd base, but she went on to get healed enough to love bowling. Bonnie enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was cooking out, or watching a ballgame, she loved to mow and take care of her yard work. Bonnie donated all of her useable organs so others could fulfill the gift of life.
