A bit about my life:

I went to Beauty School in Duluth MN right after graduating from High School. I came back to Bemidji and worked for my Aunt Tina Janssen at the old Markum Hotel. I Went to visit my sisters in Montana and decided to stay there. Got married in 1964, owned my own salon for many years, also started a Drapery and Floorcovering Business. Our children were born in 1972 and 1977. We were divorced after 22 years.

In 1990 I moved to Helena, MT to work for the State of Montana Department of Commerce, Board of Cosmetology and Barbering. I worked there 10 years retiring in 2000. I moved back to Bemidji then to enjoy time with my Mother, sisters, and their families. I loved attending my great neice's and nephew's school activities.

What is the best thing that has happened to you since we graduated?

Besides having Grandchildren, getting married to Oakley Williams when I was 59. I met him on the internet and little did I know I graduated with his sister June Williams Gladen in 1960.

School Memories:

My first memory moving to Bemidji high from Bagley my freshman year was sitting across the isle from Kay Strowbridge. I was so terribly shy and she took me under her wing, inviting me into her friends group. I have never forgotten that Kay. I loved your Mom.

I have wonderful memories of potlucks, coke parties at Wanda's, games, dances, slumber parties, homemade cinnamon rolls in the morning. Sneaking into the drive in, going to Battle Lake with Janice Fricke & others in the winter.

I loved working at Ruttgers in the summers with Judy Hagberg, Shirley Sutton to name a few. We had a costume party I remember.

I had a great time in Mr Dahl's study hall with Bill James, we were monitors. I went to a formal dance with him even though he was a year younger than I. He sure could dance.

I am so sorry to hear of Paulette's Passing she was a super friend and classmate .

and her husband Oakley is a cousin from my family and I am sure he could use

some support from all the 1960s class and his farm friends too !!!
