So sorry to hear Pete is gone.  He was literally a hero to me in grade school, so good looking and an excellent athlete.  He especially excelled in softball/baseball.  I remember him talking the nuns into letting us listen to the world series in the classroom.  I believe he even provided the radio.  He was someone I looked up to.

Sorry to hear Pete is gone.  I did not know him well, but remember him from so many parties.  Peace, Pete.

I am very sorry to hear about Pete.  I am glad I was able to talk to him at our 70th birthday party.  He was "one cool dude".

So sorry Pete passed away. He had a great sense of humour, and awesome personality! Always friendly, he will be missed.

John Peter, "Pete", was my classmate all through elementary school at St.Philip's.  There were 27 of us in 8th grade and by then we had become a close group. Pete was our star athlete and a good friend.  I'm sorry to hear that he will no longer be with us.

I echo Mary Jo's comments about Pete. So sorry to hear of his passing. Here is a photo of him from probably 8th grade at St. Philip's.

Does anyone else remember Russell G. referring to Pete as Petey Cakes? They were quite the twosome! Lots of laughs and pranks. Pete was, as we all know, an outstanding pitcher. So was Bill Lawrence - going to play farm ball with the Detroit Tigers until a shoulder injury put an end to that. He and Pete always had that connection, then, "as we matured" they became connected and I do not recall just how.. Bill was publishing the Ojibwe News/NA Press and Pete came on board and did ads and any number of things. He became kind of family with Bill, Joel, and Evie Barrett (giving her one of his cars!). Yes, Petey will be missed.

Pete was such a neat guy and always so much fun to visit with.  He will be missed a lot.  Teri and Willie

Sadness has been with us the last few days, Pete was a very good friend, Pete was Bill's best man at our wedding, they have always been in touch. We knew he had some health problems, went to St. Clould to the veterans clinic. Was working at keeping the issues under control. We have all lost someone special. We will miss Pete, his wonderful smile and sense of humor. Bill and Liz

I'm wondering where one might find an obituary for Pete.  What town/city was he living in?
