Life takes a lot of twists and turns and it's nice to have such fond memories of High School. I had a great time with many friends. I like a Toby Keith song which includes a phrase "Here's to nights I don't remember, with friends I'll never forget !" (That would be lack of remembering due to memory fading, not drunken stooper, for any with their mind in the gutter !! ) Not sure how Toby meant it !!

Lost my mom and dad awhile ago, so I don't have to juggle the parent child situation. It frees me up to do good things for as many people as I can. It also allows me to enjoy my 17 year old to the fullest ...provided I can find him !!!

School Story:

My youngest son Bradley Christian (17) goes to Otter Valley/Stafford Tech. Mt Anthony is discussed in many sports around this Rutland /Brandon area. What a power house that school was and is. Hard not to give a cheer under my breath for MAU.

Speaking of under your breath... for those of us at Sacred Heart & St. Francis. Having nuns in full habit all around us, ever ask softly, under your breath... what color is her hair, how long, what would happen if I caught that veil as it floated across my desk top,why is her cap pointy and huge and the others not, the rosary beads ...why so big, what were they hiding and why ?? Sadly, we know what some of the priests were hiding. Not one need for a Resource Officer back then. Well.. Officer needed in church yes, the school no. Sacred Heart School, 9 nuns in full garb .... nobody was going into that school without reproach ! Unless you HAD to be there, you weren't !

Karen & I met in 8th grade, walking towards one another in the school hall way wearing the same exact dress! That is when the giggling began. We shared home room and sat next to each other - La and Le. We became fast friends. During our teenage years,my Dad dubbed us “the giggle girls.” As we grew into women our bond became stronger, supporting each other through life's ups & downs.

She was a soft spoken talented artist and creative interior designer. A strong, independent woman with a huge heart. She was very caring and always put others first. At her lowest, she was there for others with gifts, encouraging words, and always giggles. Even four legged creatures. She fostered dogs, and eventually kept one for her own, Scruffy. Scruffy was her constant companion and comfort to her during her illness. She was always up for an adventure or challenge. Her biggest challenge came two years ago with her diagnosis of cancer. She referred to each step as her adventure, and often told me “I wonder what my next adventure with this will be?” She met each adventurous step head on with strength, dignity, grace, and HUMOR.

During one of my most recent visits, she was questioning her purpose on this earth, what had she really done to make a difference? I told her we all are like pebbles thrown into a pond. The ripples of our life's spread to others around us in ways that we may not even realize. I told her her greatest accomplishment is her son! She has given him all her gifts. She loved angels and had a small collection of them in her home. I told her that when ever I have a challenge in my life, I will think of her, and look to find the humor in the struggle as she so bravely did. That is her gift to me and she now is my forever angel.

Age 35, a great place to be between High School and age 52. Photo... ?? perhaps one day before I became pregnant! Wait until you see what the cheerleader made !! The pictures would be better but as always I couldn't find my busy son! I'll fix them later .....but these will keep Cathy and Steph quiet for a week or so.

Who needs more than a laundry basket when you get home. Vermont roots at work. This apparently scarred him for life though, I can't get him anywhere near a laundry basket!

Ya so, he cut a few corners and cheated a bit, after all he is a male! One truth is, I love him deeply, with all my heart and yet he can never cheat on me. So we're good !

Now look what the cheerleader has in her life. I yell louder than ever and he hates it so but he can't break up with me. He is SO stuck it's not funny! "Don't make a fool of yourself mom" ... "ok hun" at age 52, do I care about that.. NO .. The comfort that comes with age !!!

Poor kid ! Bradley Christian the big guy on the Otter Valley Basketball Team, a Junior. # 1 rebounder for the MVL Leauge this year, MVP this year and last. I really don't know why he is afraid of laundry baskets, at 6'4" there is no way he would fit in there now ! Only one more year to hear mom scream and dance with the other older moms to Kid Rock's "All Summer Long" prior to the home games ! POOR KID ! LUCKY MOM

One more photo .... SHIT, blury again, GOD DAMN IT ! I am so sick of trying to find that kid and trying to learn stuff on this computer !! I sure wish I was back in High School. No computers, no cell phones, no texting, no responsibilities, no bills, no BFF LOL TTYL... all you had to do was worry about a dance, what to wear and who YOU liked and who liked YOU. Mindless fun, mindless!

This son of mine ugh .. He is an avid hunter and he is an amazing marksman with a bow and a gun. I'll show him hunter....I WILL FIND HIM... as soon as the next basketball schedule comes out. I will know exactly when tip off time is and then we'll talk ! If he keeps avoiding me... I will cut that little SOB out of my will !!

Need ME, Bradley's dad and I are most often in this heavily taxed home in Pittsford VT. We are $80.00 shy of $14,000.00 yearly, that's why only the son can afford to do anything! Vermont, good in many ways, bad in so many others. See you at the reunion PLEASE..it may be the only thing I can afford to do this year! ...Wait wait, I hear something in the laundry room ...
