Kevin R. Gerity

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Kevin R. Gerity, 48, a resident of Paradise by the Sea, died March 2, 2004, as a result of an accident.

He was born Oct. 8, 1955, in Bennington, Vt., the son of Ronald and Shirley (Percey) Cole.

He attended schools in Bennington.

Mr. Gerity worked as a cook in various restaurants in the Fort Lauderdale area.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Ronald and Joan Cole of Arlington, Vt.; his maternal grandmother, A. Zelda Percey of Bennington; two brothers, Ronald Gerity of Winder, Ga., and Steve Gerity; three sisters, Karen Sargood, Carrie Pickering and Tracy Cole, all of Arlington; aunts, uncles and a niece.

He was predeceased by his stepfather, Donald Gerity; and his grandfather, Clarence Percey.

The graveside service will be held Sunday, at 1 p.m., in Village Cemetery in Bennington.

There will be no calling hours.
