Edward Gardner III Edward Gardner III 1957 - 2008 BENNINGTON Edward E. "Eddie" Gardner III, 51, of Elm Street died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 13, 2008, at his residence, following a brief illness. Born in Bennington on May 5, 1957, he was the son of Helen S. Kelley Gardner and the late Edward E. Gardner Jr., Eddie received his education at St. Francis de Sales Academy and was a 1975 graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School. Following graduation, he attended Castleton State College before enlisting into the Army, where he served for four years. For the past 10 years, Mr. Gardner had been employed at Mack Molding Company in Arlington. Eddie was an avid fan of all sports at Mount Anthony Union High School. He also enjoyed coin collecting. Besides his mother, Helen Gardner of Bennington, he leaves five sisters and their spouses, Mary and Donald Myers of Bennington, Valerie and Greg Camp of South Hampton, Mass., Cindy Gardner and Donald Carroll of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Gayle and Kevin Kees of Shaftsbury, and Kelley Gardner of Hyde Park, Mass., and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Eddie will be missed by the Sweet family of whom he was very fond. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at 12:30 p.m. from the MAHAR & SON FUNERAL HOME with a prayer and from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church at 1 p.m. where the Mass of Resurrection will be offered. Friends may call at the funeral home today, Tuesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will take place in the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery. Should friends desire, contributions in Edward E.
