Dennis M. Jordan 1957 - 2008 BENNINGTON Dennis M. Jordan, 51, a resident of Chapel Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, at his residence following a long illness. Born in Bennington, March 23, 1957, son of the late Llewellyn Jordan and the former Eunice Maynard Jordan who survives. Dennis attended the former St. Francis de Sales Academy and was a 1975 graduate of Mt. Anthony Union High School. A master plumber, Dennis was employed by Keith Miller Plumbing & Heating at the time of his death. He previously had been employed by other local area plumbing contractors. An avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycles. Dennis was a expert in wildlife habitat and also enjoyed NASCAR racing. In the 1970's he was a member of the Green Mountain Riders motorcycle club and in 1992 was a co-founder of the Beattie Hollow Sportsman's Club where he served as vice-president until the time of his death. He leaves his mother, Eunice Jordan of Bennington; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and John Sandquist of Bennington; two brothers, Robert Jordan and his partner, Robert Mix of East Sandwich, Mass., and Scott Jordan of Bennington; a sister-in-law, Linda Jordan of Gansevoort, N.Y., and many very special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Dennis also leaves lifelong best friend, Dale Long of Bennington. In addition to his father he was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Donald Jordan. |

I was just on the website this morning and I just got this email about Dennis Jordan and I was shocked!! I am SO SO sorry. I did not know he was ill. What a terrible shame. TOO young to be gone from us. I guess I just kind of think about everyone as I remember them from High School. I can't imagine Dennis is gone.My love and prayers to his family and friends.

I just found out about Denny's pssing Ihave truly lost contact and was shocked and sadden by this news.We had many great times all through jr.high until graduation. I will always remember Tom Doane's camp and the many parties up there,Denny didn't miss one.good times, good friends
