

June 4, 1957 — July 29, 2017 GLENS FALLS — Thomas M. MacJarrett, 60, a resident of Glens Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday July 29, 2017 at Glens Falls Hospital. He was born on June 4, 1957 in Bennington, Vermont, the son of the late Francis and Mabel (Vachon) MacJarrett. Mr. MacJarrett retired from the United States Military with the rank of Major after serving his country for 20 years in both the Navy from 1976-1980 and Army from 1984-2000. He was a graduate from UVM in 1984 with his Bachelor degree and 1999 with his Masters in Aeronautical Safety and Management. Following his retirement, he was active with the Bay Ridge Emergency Squad as an EMT and ADK Soaring Club. He also held certification as a Glider Flight Instructor, multiple dive certifications as well as having his pilots license. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, Christian Thomas MacJarrett. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Tanya L. (Fraley) MacJarrett of Glens Falls; three sons, Conor MacJarrett and his significant other, Nicole Strong of Glens Falls, Cameron MacJarrett of Glens Falls and Nicholas MacJarrett of Glens Falls; daughter, Tabor MacJarrett of Glens Falls; one brother and one sister; mother in law, Mary Frances Fraley of Michigan; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law; as well as several nieces, nephews and his beloved dog Etsy-Rose. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 3 at the Regan Denny Stafford Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Road, Queensbury Burial with full military honors will be held at a time to be announced at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylerville. Calling hours are scheduled from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
