I had the good fortune to have Dave as best man at my first wedding, and to be his best man at his first wedding. As our families grew and our marriages fell apart we lost contact, but I was lucky enough to visit him during a whirlwind road trip with my two kids the summer before he died. We had an excellent meal with Dave and his new wife Roxanne, and shared a great bottle (or two) of wine. We shared memories far into the night about our good times in Bennington and where our paths had gone in the years since. It was like high school was just a few years ago, not more than 25. I am incredibly grateful to have had this last opportunity to see him before he passed away. Dave loved life and loved where he was living, on a beautiful horse farm in the one part of Maryland where it snows. As long as one person remembers something about you, you are not really gone - and Dave is certainly remembered.Jim Lamb
