Howard 'Bud' Ashton ‘74

Howard 'Bud' Ashton, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011, as a result of a heart attack suffered Friday, May 13, 2011.
 

Born Feb. 14, 1956, in Trenton, N.J., Howard was a son of Howard N. and Dorothy Ashton.
 

He grew up in Bensalem, and enjoyed spending his time at Newport Fire Co., Station 44 on Bensalem Blvd., even before he was old enough to volunteer.
 

After serving in the U.S. Navy as an air traffic controller, he worked as a lithographer while volunteering nights and weekends for Station 44.

 

He spent more than 10 years as a firefighter, reaching the rank of Deputy Chief, before setting his sights on EMS. During his time as a paramedic, he worked all across Lower Bucks County.

 

In the mid-1990s, he became a full time mechanic in the roofing industry, and was most recently employed by Bortek Industries.

 

Howard is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia 'Trish'; his son, William 'Bill'; his two daughters, Deanna, and Alisha and her husband, Ryan Haddock.

 

Howard was preceded in death by his parents.

 

As per Howard's wishes, no service will be held.
