Mark Blumenthal peacefully departed this life surrounded by loved ones after fighting a courageous battle with gastric cancer Friday, July 12, 2013. He was 57.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a graduate of Bensalem High School and Bucks County Technical School, Class of 1974.

Mark was best known for his lively and candid personality. He was the sole owner of his business 'Mobile Radios' and was the 'Mobile Radio connoisseur', servicing Bucks County, Montgomery County and New Jersey auto dealerships with his electronics and radio expertise since 1978.

Mark loved to tinker with all things mechanical and could fix anything!

He loved fishing and boating along the Jersey shore and enjoyed traveling. He loved many types of music but especially enjoyed Bruce Springsteen, attending numerous concerts as often as possible! He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan and loved attending games with Pop and his family.

Recently, his passion was photography, and he also enjoyed computers and technology. He was the number one fan of his son, Eric, his nephew, Ryan and niece, Devyn, never ever missing an event or an accomplishment.

Mark was a believer in community service and was a Life Member of the Newport Fire Company #1, 44//88 for more than 30 years. He served as a Certified Firefighter 1, member of the Newport Fire Company Fire Police and in recent years served as fire photographer. He served on various committees of the fire community and was a past member of the Board of Trustees of the Newport Fire Company. He also was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Mark will forever be in the hearts of his father, Harris Blumenthal; his son, Eric Blumenthal; daughter-in-law, Maritza Blumenthal; sister, Dr. Karen Fox Noonan; brother-in-law, Daniel Noonan; Ryan and Devyn Fox; and his best and oldest friend, Marc Schlessinger. He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Blumenthal, and brother-in-law, Thomas Fox. He also will be missed by many incredible cousins, extended family and friends. Mark's first grandchild will know his grandpop through the wonderful tales all will share to keep his memory alive.

The family would like to thank Barbara Zack, a special nurse and the entire staff of Chandler Hall Hospice, where Mark received incredible care and much love in the final stages of his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services 2:30 p.m. Monday, in the Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Raphael-Sacks, 310 Second Street Pike, Southampton. Interment will be in Newtown Cemetery.
