Charlene P. Haughey Yocum of Northeast Philadelphia died suddenly Monday, May 24, 2010, at her residence. She was 53.
She is survived by her husband, Frank L. Yocum.
Born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia, Charlene attended Archbishop Ryan High School. After moving to Bensalem, she graduated from Bensalem Township High School.
Charlene was a creative and artistic individual who loved animals.
In addition to her husband, Charlene is survived by her children, Rebecca S. Yocum Santiago and her husband, David, Nicole R. Yocum and her husband, Michael McCandless, Deborah McGinley and her husband, Jack, and Kelly Sullivan; her parents, Joseph P. Sr. and Agnes M. "Jackie" (Schweitzer) Haughey; and a brother, Joseph P. Haughey Jr. and his wife, Christina. She was the loving grandmother of Marissa, Angelina, Alana and Michaela; and aunt of Joseph P. III and Dylan T. Haughey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral at 9 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Church, Morrell Ave. and Chesterfield Road, Philadelphia, followed by her funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal will be in Resurrection Cemetery. There will be no viewing Friday.
