April Johnson, of Voorhees, New Jersey, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, October 8, 2026. She was 39 years old.

April was the beloved wife of 14 years to James M. Johnson Jr. and the devoted and loving mother of their son, Carter Johnson, who was the center of her world. Her love for her family was an important part of who she was, and the memories they created together will forever be cherished.

Born in New York, New York, April was the daughter of Sandi and Andrew Polan, of Bensalem, Pennsylvania. She spent many of her early years in Brooklyn, New York, before moving to Bucks County as a young teenager, where she began building the friendships and experiences that would shape her life.

A graduate of Bensalem High School, Class of 2004, April discovered an interest in the beauty industry during her teenage years. She began working at La Mirage Hair & Day Spa in Bensalem, following the path of those who came before her and learning the fundamentals of salon life. Starting as a greeter and assisting with shampooing hair and other essential salon responsibilities, April developed a strong work ethic and a growing passion for the profession.

Determined to advance her skills and pursue her ambitions, April attended cosmetology school and earned her cosmetologist license. Her desire to learn, however, did not end there. Always eager to expand her knowledge and explore new interests, she continued her education by studying various subjects at Bucks County Community College. She pursued these studies until the birth of her son, Carter, when her attention and priorities naturally turned toward motherhood and raising her family.

In 2019, April and her family moved to Voorhees, New Jersey, where they quickly established roots and formed many meaningful friendships. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including watching movies, drawing, and, most of all, spending time with her husband, Jim, and their son, Carter. Whether sharing everyday moments or making special memories together, April treasured the time she spent with the people she loved most. Her services and interment are private. In addition to her husband, son and parents, April is survived by her sister, Jessica Polan and her father in law, James M. Johnson Sr. and mother in law, Rosemarie Langdon and many other relatives and friends.
