Barbara C. Tomczyk
July 5, 1943 — January 19, 2026
Yardley, PA
Barbara C. Tomczyk, born on July 5, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, in Plainsboro, New Jersey, at the age of 82 surrounded by her family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Barbara lived a life rooted in love, faith, and togetherness. Her greatest joy was her family, and her life was a testament to putting those she loved above all else.
Barbara began her career at Thiokol, where she met the love of her life, Stanley. Together they built a marriage grounded in commitment, partnership, and shared adventures. For more than 25 years, Barbara worked as an office manager at Unifirst in Croydon, where she was respected for her strong work ethic, reliability, and genuine care for others. A proud graduate of Bensalem High School, she participated in the color guard and remained connected to her alma mater through the Bensalem Alumni Association.
Barbara made her home in Levittown for over 40 years before embracing a new chapter—spending 12 years traveling the country by motor home alongside her beloved husband, who shared every mile with her as they discovered new places, created cherished memories, and formed lasting friendships along the way, turning each journey into something truly special. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina held a special place in her heart; she vacationed there often and lived there for a couple of years. Thirteen years ago, Barbara moved back home to Yardley, Pennsylvania, where she settled to be closer to the family she missed so dearly, warmly embracing her community and continuing to cultivate meaningful relationships.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Barbara was a devoted parishioner of St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church in Yardley. Her faith was a source of strength and comfort throughout her life, guiding her actions and shaping the compassion she showed to everyone she met. With a heart full of love, she made it a point to tell everyone—from family and friends to doctors and even strangers—that she loved them, leaving a lasting impression of kindness wherever she went
Barbara was known for her kind heart, welcoming spirit, and genuine love of being with others. She cherished time spent with her extended family and friends, whether gathered around a table or sharing laughter over games of “Fast Track” and Pokeno. She especially loved animals and found great joy in their companionship.
Above all else, Barbara’s top priority was having her family together. She was immensely proud of her daughters and absolutely adored her granddaughters, Jamilyn Marie and Emilee Anne. When her daughters were younger, she even coached their softball team—despite knowing little about the game—simply to support them and be there for them. Barbara attended every event she could for her granddaughters, standing proudly as their biggest cheerleader and taking great pride in their accomplishments. Being “Mom” and “Grandmom” were roles she treasured beyond measure.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Stanley Thomas Tomczyk; her loving daughters, Suzanne Marie Tomczyk and Christine Anne Tomczyk; and her cherished granddaughters, Jamilyn Marie and Emilee Anne Tomczyk. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Michael Ebner III and Janet Ebner, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael Ebner Jr. and Barbara Schummer Ebner.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Barbara’s life with a visitation on January 24, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church, 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley, Pennsylvania. Interment will be held privately at a later date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In celebration of her life and joyful spirit, the family warmly invites attendees to wear colorful attire (her favorite color is pink).
Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the countless memories she created and the lives she touched. She will be forever remembered with love, gratitude, and affection.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made in Barbara’s name to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (https://chop.donordrive.com/campaigns/In-memory-of-Barbara-C-Tomczyk )or the Bucks County S.P.C.A.
