In Memory

Kim Clymer - Class Of 1971

Kim Clymer

Kim Robert Clymer

Kim Robert Clymer, longtime resident of Bucks County, PA died Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital in Atlantic City, NJ. He was 69 years old.

Kim was the beloved husband of Margaret “Sue” R. Ashley Clymer. The couple shared 43 years of marriage, good times, memories, love and, especially, laughter.

He was the only son of the late Henry and June Kraus Clymer and the father-in-law of the late Christopher Smith.

Kim would light up every room he entered.  His bright smile, laughter, sense of humor, and authenticity made him a genuine friend to everyone he met.  He loved a good party, Philly sports, and his grandchildren.  Kim lived to make his wife smile; he loved to surprise her, infuriate her, and make her laugh until she cried.  Kim was so proud of his children and grandchildren, and was never shy about bragging about their accomplishments and sharing stories about them with others.  He loved collecting and gifting keepsakes, especially coins.  He enjoyed eating cherries and falling asleep in the sunshine at the beach.  Kim belonged to the Road Runners car club and always appreciated a good antique muscle car.  He was a long standing member of the Knights of Columbus, volunteer with Project Hope at St. Andrew, and great support of the Women’s Humane Society.  Kim loved animals, especially all of his granddogs, and brought home many interesting pets while his children were young, including Wally the alligator.  He would do anything to make his children laugh.  His family will especially miss his “Kim-isms” and self-deprecating sense of humor, which always included a story to retell over and over again.  He was the most supportive husband, father, and friend.

In addition to his wife Sue, Kim will be missed tremendously by his children Kelly Smith, Candis and John Wiese, and Cody and Stefanie Clymer. He will be remembered by his grandchildren Connor Smith, John Wiese III, Collin Smith, Mary Rose Wiese, Camilla April Clymer, Steven Wiese and Sofia Jane Clymer; as well as his sister and brother-in-law, Jill and Daniel McLaughlin. He is also survived by many special nieces and nephews, and his mother-in-law Rosalie Ashley.

Relatives and friends may greet the Clymer family on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Joseph A Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown Richboro Road (at Holland Road) Richboro, PA 18954 and also at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road Newtown, PA 18940 on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 10:00am, until the start of his Funeral Mass, 11:00am.

The family asks that you wear your favorite Philly sports team gear to the visitation in honor of Kim and his love of the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, and Sixers.

Interment will take place privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kim’s memory to the Women’s Humane Society, 3839 Richlieu Road in Bensalem, PA 19020 to recognize his love of animals.
