Kenny went on from high school to earn a BS degree from Campbell. He spent his first college year at ECU but the logistics of him being so far from home with his condition made the move to Campbell a necessity. He worked several years at the Harnett County Library in Lillington. He passed away in his sleep on July 5th, 1977 while at a Muscular Dystrophy summer camp doing one of the things he enjoyed most. I will never forget Kenny and what an inspiration he was to me in high school. I can see him now in his wheelchair and I also appreciate you guys in the 1969 class that helped him out. Kenny was a wonderful person and I guess you can say we all just loved him.
Kenny could play any instrument. He loved to play his guitar with Kevin. They had a great time together. He was also a great painter. He enjoyed going to art shows and showing off his work. He loved life and his family and friends.
