Comments:

I am attending the reunion with Mother. I was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's) last November and I am now in a wheelchair. My speech has been affected as well as the use of my hands and legs. Fortunately this disease does not affect my mind and thinking abilities. I will know everyone of my classmates and look forward to seeing you.

After a broken leg, Mother and I moved to Brighton Gardens, an assisted living facility, in Raleigh across from Rex Hospital.

Go to U Tube and put in Living with ALS-Diane Hardison

I miss you all and am doing the best I can. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. Love you.
Diane

School Story:

I remember when I was in Mrs. Carol Parker's class. She left me in charge of the class while she went to the office and we played follow the leader. When she returned she found us standing on top of the desks stepping from one desk to the next. She could not believe that I would do such a thing. I think there were only 7 seven of us but we all got our hands spanked with the ruler.

Also I broke Miss Pansy Gaitley's hip when I broke through her link playing Red Rover at the Benson Ball Park. "Red Rover, Red Rover, send Diane over!"
