In Memory

Jim Sink

James Clifton Sink, 58, of Benton Harbor, passed away at home on Thursday, May 27th 2010 from ongoing health complications.

A Celebration of His Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Oakridge Baptist Church, 766 Oakridge Dr., St. Joseph Michigan with Pastor Nick Jackson officiating.. The arrangements are entrusted with Starks and Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made directly to the family.

He leaves behind his three loving children: Christopher Sink, Nathanial Sink, Jessica(Matthew) Johnson, and his beloved granddaughter, Kamryn Johnson. Brothers and sister: Gerald (Joy) Biggart, Duane Sink, and Nancy (Ron) Puleo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff and Martha Sink, his brother Daryl and sister in-law Karen.

Jim loved Jesus Christ and all of his family and so many wonderful friends. He was known for his kindness and generosity. He could always be seen passing out Werthers candy and fun little gadgets to everyone he encountered. Music was his passion in life and he played in many different bands since his teenage years. He played rhythm and bass guitar and keyboard. Jim loved teaching young people how to play guitar. He had a positive attitude towards life and a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. We know he is at peace and no longer struggling with poor health.

Jim & I had a class together(Distibutive Education). We always had a great time together and laughed alot. I always called him "MY JIMMY BABY". After we both got married the 4 of us used to get together and/or go to wherever he was playing. We lost touch with each other once Jerry got drafted and we moved out of the area during that time.We have and will always think of him and of our fond memories together. We also remember the monkey they had and how entertaining and funny he was.Our thoughts/prayers go out to Jim's siblings/children/and a gran-daughter that will only have stories to know how GREAT her grampa was.....we will miss you Jim.

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We spent much time together from grade school thru high school. My first Stella guitar was picked out by Jim and he taught me to play it. Althought we lost touch after graduation I will always remember you fondly. be free guitar man....

RIP my friend.  Great times in Baclott and Catharsis.  Your mom and dad always accepted  us into your home, to eat or a little game of poker.  Have and will always miss you and your family.
