In Memory

Dennis Wyrick

Born on November 14, 1948, to Maxine and Albert Wyrick in Blytheville, Arkansas.

He was the 8th of 13 children. Dennis was a superstar athlete in Track & Field and in Football for Benton Harbor High School.

Dennis has always been a quiet person with a beautiful spirit. He had a love for sports that carried on all throughout his life. He also loved his family, and that love was reciprocated by everyone he knew.

Dennis met the love of his life, Betty Ann Gipson, in 1969 and they married in 1974. As she proved Proverbs 12:4, he proudly shared with her that he received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. They stayed married until he departed this life in his sleep on November 13, 2021.

Dennis departed this life to be present with the Lord on Saturday, November 13, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents: Maxine and Albert Wyrick, three brothers, Robert Woods, Eddie Earl Hurst, and Jesse Hurst, and three sisters, Maxine Ross, Carolyn Smith, and Delma McAfee.

His memory will live on through his loving wife, Betty Ann Wyrick, stepdaughter; Lavera Mays, brothers and sisters; Georgia Chandler, Freddie Standiford, Ervie Lee Hurst, Tina Bell Bowman, Joanne Commings, and Elois Wyrick, and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, Benton Harbor.
