William (Bill) Oehme VIEW PROFILE

William F. "Bill" Oehme III, 84, passed away June 1, 2025, in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.

Bill was born on March 15, 1941, to Dorothy Schlaadorn and Arthur R. Oehme. He attended John Marshall High School in Cleveland and graduated from Berea High School.  He went to Dyke Business College before becoming a drapery installer in the family business -- the Amy Company. He also worked at State Window Shade & Drapery Company. He later worked at University Hospitals for over 20 years in Environmental Services, retiring in 2007.

Bill was a member of Quarry Masonic Lodge #382. He was a skilled fisherman and loved bowling. He deeply enjoyed sharing stories and spending time with his family.

Bill was especially fond of telling folks his age as 26 for "umpteenth" year.
His final age was 26 for the 58th year.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Schweitzer Oehme, their two daughters, Dawn Parris (Andrew Jacobs) and Barbara Batista (Bill), and four grandchildren: Daniel and Zoe Parris, Jazmyn and Sarah Batista.

He is also survived by nephew Michael Oehme (Kim), great-nephew Joshua Oehme and lifelong friend Frank Palmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Arthur A. “Skip” Oehme, sister-in-law Norma J. Oehme.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a Mason service and memorial service to follow at 4:00 p.m. in Sunset Chapel.

The family requests that you wear your favorite Cleveland sports team shirt in honor of Bill for his memorial visitation and service.

Graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 10:00 at Sunset Memorial Park (Section 42, Lot 492, Space 3). Please meet at the Chapel to process to graveside together.
