In Memory

Paul Adams

Paul Adams

I received this note from Sparky's wife today (September 13, 2020).  I will provide more information as it becomes available:

This is Kathy Adams (Paul, Sparky, Adams wife).  I am sorry to inform you that Sparky passed away yesterday morning.  He had Parkinson’s disease for 17 years which included dementia in the last few years. This was a result of his Marine Corp service in Vietnam.  His sister Nancy, class of 1969, his son, Jonathan, class of 2002 and his daughter, Becky, class of 2005 and myself were with him. His wishes were to donate his body to further medical advancement. No services will be held at this time.

Sorry to hear of Spraky's passing.  We were at Loomis together.  Because he livd right next door on Adams St, I remember him jumping over the fence, to organize us after school, to play baseball or football, with Dick Tressel and Hugh Davidson.  He leravs us with good memories.

Corky and I have always considered Paul a close friend and this truly hurts!!!  We did get to see him and Kathy at the BW 50th graduation reunion reception last year for a just a few minutes - we were invited by Lanalee and Dick Scott to join the BHS contingent.  Paul's last words to us were, "Let's catch up."  How we wish we had had the opportunity.  One more Thai dinner together would have been a treat!

I was so saddened to learn of Sparky passing away.  I will remember him for his great spirit, always a smile on his face and a spring in his step.  He will be missed by many of us as a good friend and classmate.
