CHRISTINE ANN STEARNS (nee Steinmetz), age 78, beloved wife of the late William R.; daughter of the late Helen (nee Prokoya) and Matthew Albert Steinmetz; sister of the late Robert and Alan Steinmetz; dear stepmother of Debra Tyson (Scott), Linda Jackson (Ken) and Elizabeth Shore (Rod Wolanin, deceased), Mark Shore (deceased); proud step-grandma of Hillary Nestrick (Brian), Rory Jackson (Deanna), Andrew Tyson (Amy) Ashley Fornshell (Brian), Cory Wolanin (Maria) and Emily Mahlich (Kris) and step-great grandma of Aiden and Brianna Nestrick, Lucas and Nora Jackson, Weston Wolanin, Emma Tyson, Gunner Tyson and Elaina, Luke, Liam and Lucy Fornshell.  Christine was a woman of strong faith and cared deeply for her husband and family.  She embraced her extended stepfamily as her own and we were so very blessed to have her in our lives.  

Passed away August 23, 2026.  

Funeral Mass Friday, August 28, St. Mary's Church (Berea) at 11:30 A.M. where friends may call FRIDAY, 11 A.M. UNTIL TIME OF MASS. Private interment Chestnut Grove Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary's Church, 250 Kraft St., Berea, OH 44017.
