Can't thank you enough for all your hard work to set up this site. It's even more fun to visit than the last one! (So many features I don't even know how to use.) Gene, hope you guys have a great time at the Inn.
Larry, Have had the best time with this site, tonight !! What a wonderful way to stay connected and to reconnect. I know others would thank you, too, if they only knew the site was here! Question for anyone reading this, Ronnie Starks? Did someone tell me he passed away? I know he was on the FBI's most wanted list because I saw him on TV, but he must have gotten caught or something because I never saw him again.(Have memories of his locker being next to mine and a very large knife he had hidden in the locker. Of course, I never said a word to anyone. Was way too afraid, although he always seemed to be nice to us.) Carol
Thanks Carol, it has been a lot of fun for me too! If you are in contact with others in any of the classes, please let them know. My goal is to have 100 profiles on each of the three web sites; '65, '66, and '67. The Class of 1965 got there first and now has over 100!
Ronnie Starks is serving life, with no parole for 2 counts of murder. Here more information:
Ronnie and his brother Mousey were always kinda scary to me too. There was another guy, Gary Gettis, who sat next to me in a couple classes and was always in Cleveland with a bunch of guys. He was always trying to hit me up for $.
Carol, Wish I could get to the Inn. A little too far for me to go from Raleigh. I will get there one of these days when I go back to Berea to visit. I still own a home there so I do get there once in a while....although not frequently.
What a fun website! Thank you Larry, this is very cool. Almost better than Facebook..OK, better than Facebook. You don't have to invite all of your friends to say hello.
Was immediately in touch with 3 girlfriends that I haven't spoken to in awhile. I have also enjoyed the "blog".
Yeah, Gail Brown emailed and reminded me it was adinos. The Bar in Berea was Reid's according to Tom "buda" Budisak. Did you know Mark Sutherland died? I heard that from Jim Stepansik.
Jeff Sutherland (Class of '68) passed away in 1999. Jeff's obituary is on the '68 In Memory section. Mark Sutherland (Class of '65) passed away in 2008, as reported by a classmate.
All, Last week I sent Larry a picture from the Class of '67 graduation. You can view it at the Old Days & Links tab. I can identify some of the faces (but not all). If you have a chance, take a look and let me know if your memory is better than mine. This is a great site and I echo everyone else's compliments to Larry for providing the forum! Thanks, Tom
Is anyone planning activities to coinside with the Picnic in July. As this will be our "BIG 60", believe the class of 67 could get together, possibly Saturday evening somewhere? Any ideas
Terry, you may have already heard from Diane that we were trying to set something up for the July 25th Saturday before the picnic. I think the best thing would be to go back to the VFW hall again that evening, but I don't know how to contact Ted Grospitch to see if he could arrange it.
As a back-up plan, I have made tentative reservations for up to 30 people at the Mexican restaurant at 804 Front St. for 1 P.M. that afternoon or 6:30 P.M. that evening (pick one; I vote for evening).
As soon as you finalize something for Saturday, I'll be happy to put it on your home page as an announcement and also send a note out to the class. Sounds like a good time! Don't forget to RSVP with a check to Gerry Danzey for the picnic.
Enjoy the fun. Hey, Jim MILWARD. Is alive and well living in Berea on Eastland Road across from the Eastland Inn and works for the City of Strongsville. Still a grease-monkey playing with engines.
