In Memory

Stephen Dunham

STEVE "SNICKERS" DUNHAM, beloved husband and soul mate of Christine "Daisy" (nee Milne) Dunham, son of Homer S. and Dorothy Dunham (both deceased), loving brother of Luanne Dunham (and Helen Jesse) and cherished son-in-law of James and Jacqueline Milne of Akron, passed away suddenly on July 1. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, in 1949, he has been a resident of the Aurora/Chagrin Falls area since 1984. He is a 1971 graduate of Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts. A wonderful husband ("Bee"), son, brother, and friend, and an avid golfer, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Knowing he is smiling down on all of us, from the first tee of Heaven's Country Club, he will live in our hearts for the rest of our lives. He leaves behind many, many friends both in Ohio and in Fort Myers, Florida, where he spent the last two winters enjoying the sun and playing golf. He came by the nickname "Snickers" because he always bought a Snickers bar from the refreshment cart, while playing golf. He always supported his wife's love of animals and also leaves behind six cats, who loved him as well. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to The Geauga Humane Society's Rescue Village, South Russell Twp., Ohio. Although retired, he has worked for Graybar Electric of Akron and Cleveland, Anixter Bros. of Cleveland and Optical Cable Corporation of Roanoke, Va. Family will receive friends FROM 2 - 4 AND 6 - 8 P.M., TUESDAY, JULY 7TH, AT STROUD-LAWRENCE FUNERAL HOME, 95 SOUTH FRANKLIN ST., CHAGRIN FALLS, where services will take place Wednesday, July 8th, at 11a.m. Interment Rosehill Burial Park Fairlawn, Ohio on Thursday, July 9th, at 2 p.m. (meet at cemetery).
