Rene was usually in my homeroom, and I am finding that those friends from homeroom were often your closest. His birthday was also the day after mine, and we would always remember each other on those days. He was a really nice guy, and I also knew his mom, who was a patient of my dad's. She was a very nice lady, too. I think of him every year on my birthday!

I found out Rene served our country in the US Navy as Jim has already stated He served between Jan 10,1969 until Dec 1, 1972

I too remember playing football after school with Rene and a bunch of other guys (like Dave Robinson). I think I still have a snapshot of a bunch of us stacked on our hands and knees in a pyramid.
