Marcia Speer (Savage) VIEW PROFILE

Marcia E. Savage (72) of Johnstown, Ohio, passed away suddenly February 2, 2022. She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years Roger P. Savage; brother Alan (Sally) Speer; brother-in-law Ron (Joan) Savage; aunt Janet Linker; cousins Kristen (Gary) Fleenor-Rush, Dr. Timothy (Heather) Linker, Jeffrey (Julie) Linker, and Evelyn Johnson, and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. Marcia is preceded in passing by her parents Grady and MaryEllen Speer; uncles James Linker and Richard (Nancy) Fleenor, and cousin Carroll Wayne.

She was a graduate of Berea High School and of Bowling Green State University earning a bachelor’s degree in teaching. Marcia taught in the Danville and Mt. Vernon school district, until her retirement in 2007. It was at Danville that she met her future husband and married in 1975. In her free time, Marcia took up photography and making crafts for senior citizen groups and assisted living residents. She found joy in traveling with Roger throughout the country and became quite the photography buff as a result of the places she visited. Marcia would enter local photography competitions, and would score quite well.

Family and friends may call from 6-8pm Thursday, February 10, 2022 and 10-11am Friday, February 11, 2022 at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home 225 N Main St Johnstown, OH 43031. A funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, February 11, 2022 at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Monroe Township Fire and EMS department, 186 E Coshocton St, Johnstown, OH 43031..

Oh, This saddens me.

I lived on Wavrerly and Marcia lived not far from me.

I remember Marcia from elementary school through high school. I remember her ringlets in elementary school.  My sympathies to Marcia's family and husband.

So very sorry to hear of Marcia's passing.She was my first friend at Central and her great smile and happy personality were always fun to be with. To Roger and her family I'm sure you have some wonderful memories.  Bless you all. Pam Burress

My thoughts are with Marcia's family as they experience her loss.  Marcia was a classmate that I felt I had something in common with during those crazy middle and high school years that I recall these many years removed.
