Retired from U.S. Navy after 28 years. Last assignment was Commanding Officer of Naval Security Group Activity, Norfolk, VA. Joined Lockheed Martin Corporation in 2003. I've spent most of my time on naval modernization projects for the U.S. and some allied countries.

Split my undergraduate career between West Point and Case Western Reserve. B.A. from CWRU in 1971. M.A. (French) from Ohio State in 1973. Another M.A. (National Security Studies) from the U.S. Naval War College, Newport RI in 1994.
