Pennie Faire Salsgiver passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on the morning of Monday, January 12, 2026 at Altenheim Skilled Nursing Facility in Strongsville, Ohio. Pennie was born on October 28, 1948 in Lakewood, Ohio to John and Francis Snell. She is survived by her son Steven Salsgiver and daughter-in-law Candice. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jack Salsgiver.

Wedded on October 10, 1967 in Steuben County, Indiana, Jack and Pennie enjoyed 58 years of marriage before Jack's passing on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

An entrepreneur, she started both her own professional writing company and state-licensed childcare service, though her primary role was that of a stay-at-home mother. Along with caring for her family, she enjoyed training dogs and participating in dog shows, making and selling crafts, and being a fan of all major Cleveland sports teams.

Calling hours for both Pennie and Jack Salsgiver will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, January 17 at Baker, Kensinger Funeral Home in Berea, Ohio.
