WARREN A. BURGESS

1946 - 2019

Warren A. Burgess, age 72, has gone fishing.  Beloved husband of Joanne (nee: Yablonski) for 36 years:  Devoted father to Heather Bise, Warren “Stosh” Burgess (Shelly), Sarah Burgess (Joe Humeston) and Jessica Oboczky (Kurt).  Cherished grandfather to Grace, Sam, Sascha, Wolfgang, Jaxson, Tatum and Adaline.  Brother to Walter “Ron”, deceased, Bruce (Carolyn), Carl, Linda Harshman and Arthur, deceased. Warren battled cancer for over 5 years – he was such a trooper. Warren was a veteran of the US Army. 

He was an avid hunter and fisherman; he was a member of the Corlett Fishing Club.  Warren was a court reporter and had his own firm, Burgess Court Reporters.  He was also an instructor and taught court reporting which he truly enjoyed. He also coached girls’ softball fast-pitch, which his daughters, Sarah and Jessica were on teams he coached as well.  Warren dearly loved his family.  Warren enjoyed being outdoors, he loved his vegetable garden.  He was the master at making the best horseradish.  Warren had an impact on so many – his big laugh and sense of humor will never be forgotten. 

Calling hours will be Thursday April 4, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service immediately following at 5:00 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 7171 Pearl Road, Middleburg Heights, Ohio 44130. Flowers may be sent directly to Bethel Lutheran Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lake Erie Protection Fund at the following link:
