Denise “Cookie” Owens” Anders, 47 of Bunker Hill, WVA, died Monday Jan. 10, 2005, in Winchester Medical Center. Mrs. Anders was born Oct. 11, 1957, in Winchester, the daughter of Garland R. and Helen Wiley Owens. She had worked at Krouse Foods. She was a member of New Life Community Church and a 1976 graduate of Clarke County High School. Her husband, Gary Anders is deceased. Surviving are a son, Damion M. Anders of Bunker Hill; a daughter, Morgan M. Anders of Bunker Hill; a sister Sharon 0. Wilkins of Winchester, and a companion, Ron Potts. A memorial service will be 2:30 pm Thursday at South Berkeley Chapel, Inwood, WVA with Pastor Jim Goforth officiating. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to New Life Community Church 61 Putnam Drive, Inwood, WV 25428; or to the American Cancer Society, 2654 Valley Avenue, Suite B, Winchester, VA 22601.
