Deborah Scroggins Owens, 52, of Winchester, Virginia died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 in the Winchester Medical Center. Mrs. Owens was born February 23, 1956 in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of William and Linda Bailey Scroggins. She was a supervisor with Thermo Fisher Diagnostics. She was a member of the Winchester Eagles Post #824 Ladies Auxiliary and the Strasburg Moose. She married David Edward Owens, Sr. on August 17, 1974 in Winchester, Virginia. Surviving with her husband are her mother of Harrisonburg, VA; a sister, Susan Scroggins of Winchester, VA; and a brother, Steven Scroggins of Strasburg, VA. A son, David Edward Owens, Jr. preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P. M. Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville with Elder Ray Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, VA. Pallbearers will be Gordon Owens, Gary Owens, Charles Owens, Russell Shipe, Connie Poston, and Gene Brown. The family will receive friends 7:00 – 9:00 P. M. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
