While we didn't stay in touch after high school (of course this comment would be true of nearly EVERY 1971 Graduate!), I always held a special place in my heart for Alex - I remember him as being a very "artsy" guy ... and a really good musician. (He played with us a couple of times but it didn't last long ... because he was SO much better than we were!!! lol)
Still, he respected my musical dreams and was just an all around good guy. Our thoughts are with all of those whose lives he touched.
