Benita did not live to see thirty, as I recall. It was my understanding that she was a suicide. Such a sad thing, as she was smart, gorgeous, and so very sweet.
The day of sister's, Beverley, wedding, she and I shared close moments -- nothing physical. The haunting story that she shared was that she had been a kidnapped victim, imprisoned for a lengthy period of time -- the suicide was borne from that hellish emotionally and physically demeaning nightmarish experience. I wish I had shared more time with her -- maybe that would have made a difference in her sweet smiling life.
Rest n Peace, Benita (Ben) -- thoughts of you still harbor in our hearts!

Such a beautiful girl in high school with an awesome smile and georgous eyes!
. . . I wonder how she passed away. Anyone know?
